In April 2014, the Jaguar Foundation sent a letter to the Executive Director of the National System of Conservation Areas (SINAC), according to the protocol established for the formal presentation of our interest in having a Cooperation Agreement between both parties.
Our foundation thinks it is essential to create such liaison, which will allow for a more thorough knowledge of the natural spaces where the research programs we support with our work are developed.
We believe that a framework agreement, in which we interact with the different conservation areas by specifically focusing on those territories where jaguars and their prey are protected and researched, will have a highly positive effect on the sustainability of the environment, with the support of all those projects promoting conservation through carefully designed strategies.
We are currently waiting for an answer to our request, and we hope that this entity will approve it to celebrate the Cooperation Agreement between the Jaguar Foundation and SINAC.
We at the Jaguar Foundation wish to express our deepest thanks to the contributors, who, like us, have believed in the importance of supporting the efforts of the state Universities in the conservation and preservation of the jaguar.
